Welcome to the website of ZWMB!

The Berlin Centre for Space Medicine (Zentrum für Weltraummedizin Berlin (ZWMB) was founded in July 2000 as a joint initiative with the German Centre of Aviation and Space Travel (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR)), bringing together six teams from the Medical Faculty of the Free University of Berlin at that time and the Charité, Humboldt University.

Its primary goal was and is to join forces in the investigation of man’s anatomical, physiological and psychological adaptation to weightlessness.
